Certified Organic Raw Sushi Nori

Raw nori has one of the highest protein content of any sea vegetable, containing up to 35%, and absolutely packed with essential vitamins and minerals. A dark, luscious colour and fresh, clean taste, raw nori is a unique variety of this most popular Japanese seaweed - one of the very few vegetables that is actually cultivated in the sea. Highly nutritious and especially nourishing, it makes a handy, tasty snack for the kids, perfect for wrapping rice balls or sushi, or can simply be used as an easy addition to soups and vegetable dishes.

Want to Lose Weight? Eat Seaweed!

Nori can be used to wrap around anything for finger food, also often used to add rich flavour and bright colour to any meal. Out of a dream for “right livelihood” and a desire to spread the word about the healing powers of good food, Gold Mine was started in 1985 on a $300 loan. They began as a small family business in a gold mining town in the mountains, but we quickly outgrew our cabin and moved the business to San Diego.

By distributing traditional macrobiotic foods and hard-to-find organic, heirloom quality grains, beans, and seeds, they developed a network of friends and local businesses that were eager to obtain these high quality products.
